New center for health and wellness opened in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. – A brand new center for health and wellness has been opened in Roanoke thanks to the efforts of the Local Office on Aging.

The Frontage Road facility will host Meals-on-Wheels, Star City Diners Club, and in-house nutrition staff.

Additionally, they will provide information on healthy activities and other community events.

“Well right now we have our Star City Diners – it’s where they are provided a meal, they have programs, social interaction with each other – that’s operating out of here now,” Ron Boyd, President & CEO of the Local Office on Aging in Roanoke said.

Boyd noted that their one-to-two-year objective is to establish an exercise space for seniors.

Here you may find additional information about joining the Star City Diners Club.
