Woman facing several charges after a hit-and-run at Christiansburg High School

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – According to the Town of Christiansburg, a Christiansburg woman has been charged with felonies after a hit-and-run at Christiansburg High School on Tuesday.

The investigation showed that the hit-and-run happened after a fight between two teenagers, the police said.

Police say they saw 45-year-old Freddie Nicole McKenzie-Barnes strike two Christiansburg High School employees, one a teacher and the other an administrator, as she attempted to exit the parking lot.

Two charges of felony hit-and-run and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile were filed against McKenzie-Barnes.

The fight between the teens is still being looked into by the Christiansburg Police Department and the Montgomery County Public Schools.

The municipality indicates that more fees may be forthcoming.
