Virginia woman charged in connection with the death of her 4-year-old son
SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. – A mother from Spotsylvania has been charged with murder and child negligence following the death of her child, which occurred after the toddler consumed a significant quantity of THC gummies.
Dorothy Annette Clements, 30, was indicted by a grand jury on October 17 for the killing of her son, who was just four years old, according to the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
The youngster had been hospitalized after having a medical emergency at their residence, which was situated in the 5400 block of Jamie Court, two days before their passing on May 8.
After finding out that the child’s toxicity levels showed a lot of THC, the investigators figured out that the child must have eaten a lot of THC candies.
The doctors who treated the boy told the investigators, according to the sheriff’s office, that the boy might not have died if he had gotten help right away.
At the Rappahannock Regional Jail, Clements is being held without the chance of bail.
