Virginia State Police looking into a fatal single-vehicle crash in Pittsylvania County

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – The Virginia State Police are conducting an investigation into a single-vehicle collision that resulted in fatalities.

The collision took place at 3:37 on Saturday morning on Mount Cross Road in Pittsylvania County, close to where Log Haven Road is located.

According to the investigation, a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo was heading west on Mount Cross Road when it went off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and then flipped over.

According to the police, Czachary Paul Roe, 37 years old, from Callands, Virginia, was the driver of the automobile.

Roe sustained injuries and was sent to a hospital in the area for treatment.

There were three children traveling as passengers in the car. A male passenger aged ten years old was not wearing a seatbelt, and a male passenger aged three years old was sitting in a child safety seat. Both children were hurt, and one of them was transported to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening.

A child of six years old who was not properly fastened was ejected from the vehicle and later died at the site of the accident.

There may be charges filed.
