Virginia sees 3,699 new coronavirus cases, now reporting 541,018 statewide

As of February 11, Virginia is reporting 541,018 cases of the coronavirus across the commonwealth since March 2020.

As of Thursday, a total of 1,191,875 vaccines have been administered across Virginia, with 245,471 people being fully vaccinated, according to VDH.

Here’s a breakdown of the 3,699 new coronavirus cases reported in Virginia:

  • 409 new cases in Fairfax County
  • 338 new cases in Chesterfield County
  • 238 new cases in Prince William County
  • 182 new cases in Virginia Beach
  • 136 new cases in Henrico County
  • 132 new cases in Chesapeake
  • 112 new cases in Stafford County
  • 98 new cases in Montgomery County
  • 91 new cases in Richmond
  • 89 new cases in Loudoun County
  • 81 new cases in Norfolk
  • 76 new cases in Arlington County
  • 63 new cases in Lynchburg
  • 62 new cases in Hampton
  • 57 new cases in Newport News
  • 55 new cases in Spotsylvania County

  • 5 new cases in Nottoway County, Amelia County, Greene County, Richmond County, Wythe County and Louisa County
  • 4 new cases in Tazewell County, Lexington, Buchanan County, Lunenburg County, Lee County, Northampton County, Grayson County, Scott County, Sussex County and Emporia
  • 3 new cases in Franklin, Cumberland County, Falls Church, Dickenson County, Craig County and Alleghany County
  • 2 new cases in Lancaster County, Brunswick County, Williamsburg, Charles City County, Madison County, Bristol, Mathews County, Galax and Surry County
  • 1 new case in Buena Vista, Winchester, Covington, Floyd County and Norton
  • Highland County decreases by one case
  • Roanoke decreased by six cases

As of Thursday, the Virginia Dept. of Health reports there have been 6,847,477 total testing encounters.

The term “testing encounters” includes individuals who have been tested more than once due to their profession, high-risk status or need for a negative result to return to work. The health department started using this metric on May 1.
