RICHMOND, Va. — Virginia health officials announced Saturday morning that the Commonwealth’s total coronavirus count has increased to 526,176 COVID-19 cases and 6,773 virus-related deaths, including 4,709 new confirmed and probable cases and 41 new confirmed and probable fatalities.
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) confirmed 419,382 cases and 5,835 deaths are related to the virus as of Saturday, Feb. 6. However, 106,794 cases and 938 deaths are still reported as “probable.”
- Alleghany County: 1,162 cases, 54 hospitalizations, and 31 deaths
- Amherst County: 2,468 cases, 63 hospitalizations, and 12 deaths
- Appomattox County: 1,284 cases, 43 hospitalizations, and 9 deaths
- Bath County: 244 cases (-1), 6 hospitalizations, and 8 deaths
- Bedford County: 5,391 cases, 131 hospitalizations, and 41 deaths
- Bland County: 608 cases, 19 hospitalizations, and 9 deaths
- Botetourt County: 1,935 cases, 48 hospitalizations, and 22 deaths
- Buena Vista: 781 cases, 18 hospitalizations, and 12 deaths
- Campbell County: 3,649 cases, 67 hospitalizations, and 32 deaths
- Carroll County: 2,010 cases, 140 hospitalizations, and 58 deaths (-1)
- Charlotte County: 673 cases, 32 hospitalizations, and 11 deaths
- Covington: 592 cases, 18 hospitalizations, and 4 deaths
- Craig County: 223 cases, 9 hospitalizations, and 3 deaths
- Danville: 3,852 cases, 204 hospitalizations, and 71 deaths
- Floyd County: 696 cases, 23 hospitalizations, and 18 deaths
- Franklin County: 3,472 cases, 116 hospitalizations, and 39 deaths
- Galax: 967 cases, 71 hospitalizations, and 41 deaths
- Giles County: 957 cases, 29 hospitalizations, and 7 deaths
- Grayson County: 1,069 cases, 63 hospitalizations, and 27 deaths
- Halifax County: 2,133 cases, 44 hospitalizations, and 55 deaths
- Henry County: 3,866 cases, 258 hospitalizations, and 83 deaths
- Highland County: 86 cases and 1 hospitalization
- Lexington: 864 cases, 19 hospitalizations, and 18 deaths
- Lynchburg: 6,444 cases, 163 hospitalizations, and 83 deaths
- Martinsville: 1,420 cases, 117 hospitalizations, and 37 deaths
- Montgomery County: 6,546 cases, 143 hospitalizations, and 69 deaths
- Nelson County: 694 cases, 30 hospitalizations, and 6 deaths
- Patrick County: 1,104 cases, 82 hospitalizations, and 29 deaths
- Pittsylvania County: 4,357 cases, 148 hospitalizations, and 46 deaths
- Pulaski County: 2,199 cases, 93 hospitalizations, and 45 deaths
- Radford: 1,823 cases, 36 hospitalizations, and 11 deaths
- Roanoke City: 7,173 cases, 174 hospitalizations, and 130 deaths
- Roanoke County: 6,773 cases, 120 hospitalizations (-2), and 86 deaths
- Rockbridge County: 1,121 cases, 38 hospitalizations, and 29 deaths
- Salem: 1,781 cases, 50 hospitalizations, and 33 deaths
- Wythe County: 1,861 cases, 97 hospitalizations, and 43 deaths

Since Friday, Feb. 5, VDH reported the following rises in total cases of 10 or more in the following locations: Amherst County has 22 new cases, Appomattox County has 12 new cases, Bedford County has 50 new cases, Botetourt County has 13 new cases, Campbell County has 28 new cases, Charlotte County has 15 cases, Danville has 51 new cases, Franklin County has 24 new cases, Halifax County has 34 new cases, Henry County has 17 new cases, Lynchburg has 56 new cases, Martinsville has 10 new cases, Montgomery County has 49 new cases, Nelson County has 12 new cases, Pittsylvania County has 11 new cases, Roanoke City has 65 new cases, Roanoke County has 33 new cases, Rockbridge County has 23 new cases and Wythe County has 11 new cases.
VDH also reduced the total number of cases in Bath County from 245 to 244 on Saturday.
In addition, of the 41 new virus-related deaths reported on Saturday, one is from Amherst County, one is from Danville, two are from Franklin County, one is from Grayson County, one is from Lynchburg, one is from Montgomery County and two are from Roanoke County.
VDH reduced the total number of deaths by one in Carroll County.
Health officials say they have received 22,035 total records of confirmed and probable virus-related hospitalizations around Virginia as of Saturday, which is 142 more hospitalizations than VDH reported on Friday.
Of these newly-reported hospitalizations from Saturday, one is from Alleghany County, three are from Amherst County, five are from Bedford County, two are from Botetourt County, three are from Campbell County, one is from Carroll County, one is from Charlotte County, five are from Danville, one is from Floyd County, one is from Franklin County, one is from Grayson County, two are from Henry County, four are from Lynchburg, two are from Montgomery County, two are from Patrick County, one is from Pittsylvania County, two are from Radford, two are from Roanoke City, one is from Rockbridge County and one is from Wythe County.
VDH also adjusted the total number of hospitalizations in Roanoke County, less two, from 122 to 120.
