Ursula’s Café celebrated its grand opening in downtown Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. – A brand-new cafe opened in the city of Roanoke over the weekend. But this one is different since it is a non-profit meal service that operates on a “give what you can” basis.

On September 24, Ursula’s Cafe officially opened its doors to the public for the first time. The restaurant, which is also a non-profit organization, wants to be a warm and welcoming place where people can enjoy a delicious meal or sweet treat.

The proprietors claim that they were motivated to launch the eatery after realizing there was a need for food in the city of Star City.

“It is our mission to ensure that everyone is fed with dignity.” Have the ability to provide a gathering place for the community. This location is going to double up as a community art center in the times when we are not open for food service. Therefore, anybody and everyone is welcome to hang out in this area. Find something to eat that is both healthy and delicious. And to do so in an environment that is free from danger and warmly hospitable.”

The café believes that the retail products and lessons they provide will keep them in business, and that they believe that everyone deserves to have a happy life and decent cuisine.
