Teen Driving Solutions School educates teenagers to become safer drivers
ALTON, Va. – During the weekend of Labor Day, a non-profit organization is teaching young people how to become safe, intelligent, and responsible drivers.
The Teen Driving Solutions School at Virginia International Raceway is dedicated to assisting young drivers in “arriving alive” on each and every trip they take behind the wheel.
In order to reduce the chance of participants being involved in an accident, the training program lasts for two days and takes place both in the classroom and out on the track.
According to the results of recent studies, the 100 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are the “deadliest” for teen drivers during the summer.
“During the school year, they have routines and they stay pretty much at home. In the summertime, we roam about. We go to the beach and places we’ve never been. Without the right mindset and preparation, you end up putting yourself in harm’s way because you’re in an environment that you’re not familiar with,” said Daniel Wagner, founder of Teen Driving Solutions School.
They discovered that 98% of their graduates had a clean driving record for a period of four years after graduation.
The next session of the driving school will take place at Virginia International Raceway on October 15 and 16.
