Shelter in place issued for Southside Pulaski as authorities search for an armed and dangerous man

PULASKI, Va. – The Pulaski Police Department is looking for a man who they say stole a police car and tried to run over two officers on Thursday morning. The man is armed and dangerous, according to the police.

Police are looking for Jerrod Celablee Brown because they say he stole guns from a police car, crashed it, and ran away on foot. They are searching the south side of the town of Pulaski for him.

All residents of the Southside have been asked by the police to remain in their homes and not approach Brown. If someone notices something fishy, they should immediately contact the emergency services at 911.

According to Pulaski County Public Schools, a number of schools in Pulaski County are now operating under the “Shelter in Place” status during the search.
