Salem Police made an arrest in connection with string of larcenies

SALEM, Va. – The Salem Police Department has made an arrest in connection with thefts in the city’s North District.

Roanoke resident Tyrek Dyquan Caldwell, 24, was arrested after he matched descriptions of the thief and the vehicle suspected to have been engaged in a spate of robberies between October 3 and October 7.

There are 14 charges against him, including three counts of Interfering with the Property Rights of Another, four counts of Property Damage, three counts of Petit Larceny, and four counts of Breaking and Entering.

The Western Virginia Regional Jail now houses Caldwell.
