Roanoke organizations putting efforts to make Belmont-Fallon more beautiful to residents

Roanoke, Virginia – On Dale Avenue Southeast, numerous Roanoke organizations united to plant eight trees.
Organizers are putting their efforts to make the new Roanoke City neighborhood, Belmont-Fallon, more beautiful to residents. Trees Roanoke, Roanoke Tree Stewards, Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, I Heart SE, and others were among the groups engaged.
Planting the trees, according to the volunteers, made them feel more connected to the community.

”I think it’s really important to love where you live and to feel like you’re a part of the community, and I’m someone who really believes in feeling rooted―ya know, no pun intended―where I am. So planting trees not only gives back to the appearance of the community but the fresh air and all of that,” volunteer Stephanie Force said.

The organization will gather on Murray Avenue next Saturday as well to plant 17 more trees.
