One person apprehended in a shooting at Kentucky homeless shelter that left four injured
According to the authorities, on Thursday night there were four individuals shot inside a homeless shelter in Hendersonville, Kentucky. Initial information on their conditions was not provided. A suspect was arrested.
According to the Chief of Police of the Hendersonville Police Department, Sean McKinney, officers responded to a report of an active shooter at the Harbor House Christian Center and located four victims. It was unclear if they were residents.
The officers were informed that Kenneth B. Gibbs was a person of interest in the incident. According to McKinney, Gibbs was apprehended without incident after his vehicle was located at a boat ramp.
Information about a possible motive in the incident was not released. Authorities believe there are no other possible suspects.
According to authorities, Gibbs was either a resident or had spent some time earlier in the past at the Harbor House shelter, which is a shelter where only men reside for a short period of time.
