Man who tried to run over two officers arrested
PULASKI, Va. – Pulaski Police are expressing their gratitude to the individual who provided a tip that led to the arrest of a man who is accused of trying to murder two police officers.
On November 4, Jerrod Brown was taken into custody in the midst of a search that included a reward of $3,000 for information leading to his capture. The day prior, he allegedly stole a police vehicle and attempted to run over two cops. This information comes from the police.
During the search for Brown, one individual said that they had seen him in the Valley Road area of the town. Brown was located by agents of the United States Marshals Service who were operating in the area, and they brought him into custody after receiving the tip. The person who gave the tip didn’t know about the reward, but they were still paid for their information, according to the authorities.
According to the authorities, Brown had at least one pistol and other evidence related to the event with him when he was brought into custody by the United States Marshals Service.
Grand theft auto, attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon are the charges that have been brought against Brown. In addition to that, he was served a Probation Violation from one of the other jurisdictions. Brown is being held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
