Lockout over at Lynchburg high school after shots fired nearby

LYNCHBURG, Va. – After almost an hour since it began, the lockout at E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg has come to an end.

After receiving a call at around 3:25 p.m. about shots being fired in the 2100 block of Westerly Dr., officers from the Lynchburg Police Department said they arrived on the scene and discovered many shell casings on the roadway.

There have been no reports of any casualties, nor have any arrests been made. It is thought that there is no active danger to the community at this time.

The regularly scheduled programming for after-school hours has been restored in full.
