Latest class of firefighters, EMTs to start new chapter in life

Roanoke, Virginia – Roanoke city, Roanoke County and Botetourt County will now have new firefighters and EMTs .
New recruits will now start new chapter in their life, as a part of the Roanoke Valley Regional Fire-EMS Academy.
During their time at the academy, the recruits were facing a lot of challenges because of the coronavirus pandemic.
“Anytime we graduated new firefighters and put them out to the company, it’s a great day for the valley and, and I will tell you the day, this is, it’s unique to the class,” said Roanoke Fire-EMS Chief Dave Hoback.
One of the recruits will never forget this day. His longtime girlfriend said “yes” to the proposal on the graduation ceremony.
