Lace up those sneakers and get ready for a 5k, 10k and 8-Mile run races, Roanoke’s Backpack Run is taking place this month

The Roanoke County Public Schools Backpack Run is an annual charity event that aims to raise funds for the Roanoke County Public Schools Education Foundation. The event involves 5k, 10k and 8-Mile run, which are open to participants of all ages and fitness levels.

The race is one of the most popular local events because it directly supports students and teacher as well as some other educational programs. The start and finish line at the Green Hill Park in Roanoke County, Virginia. Participants can register online or on the day of the event, and all proceeds from the race go directly to the Roanoke County Public Schools Education Foundation.

The foundation supports a variety of programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational experience of Roanoke County Public Schools students. These include teacher grants, student scholarships, and support for special programs and initiatives.

The Backpack Run is a fun and meaningful way to support the important work of the Roanoke County Public Schools Education Foundation and make a positive impact on the lives of local students and educators.

The run is set for Saturday, March 18 at Green Hill Park.
