Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 again

After receiving positive test results for a rebound case of COVID-19, Jill Biden has been ordered to remain in isolation once again.

On August 16, the first woman was taken for a test that revealed she was infected with the virus. She was given the antiviral medicine Paxlovid as part of her treatment.

According to a spokesperson for Mrs. Biden, she had two tests and received negative results. On the other hand, the results of the retest that was conducted on Wednesday came back positive.

A spokeswoman for the first lady said that she hasn’t had any new symptoms, but that she will stay in isolation in Delaware just in case.

After testing positive for COVID-19 for the first time in late July, President Joe Biden also had a rebound case.

The research conducted by the National Institutes of Health found that up to five percent of individuals who were prescribed Paxlovid had a rebound infection.
