Gov. Northam trying to find a way to implement President Biden’s new Covid-19 vaccine mandate
Roanoke, Virginia – Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia and his team are trying to find a way to implement President Joe Biden’s new COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
He claims that this isn’t the first time that a state has mandated immunizations, and that the vaccine requirement in government workplaces is showing results.
Northam believes the country is in the middle of a biological war. To put an end to the pandemic, he thinks that everyone should get the vaccine.
“It’s unfortunate we have to mandate things but the only way we are going to get this pandemic behind us is to get people vaccinated,” said Northam.
On Friday afternoon, a small crowd turned up to support the Roanoke LEAPS mobile food cart. They were holding banners against any vaccination requirement.
When asked if there would be any more mandates or vaccine requirements, the governor stated there are many alternatives on the table. He did add, though, that schools are the safest environment for children.
He also added that children are safer when they are near to people who have been vaccinated.
