Ford recalled nearly 300,000 pickup trucks due to rear camera lens issue
More than 277,000 pickup trucks and vehicles in the United States are being recalled by Ford due to the possibility that the lens of the rear view camera might get foggy, reducing the driver’s field of vision.
The F-250, 350, and 450 trucks, in addition to the Lincoln Continental, all have model years ranging from 2017 to 2020, and they are all included in the recall. There is a 360-degree camera system installed in the recalled automobiles.
According to Ford, the anti-reflective lens on the cameras might get degraded over time, which can result in a cloudy picture. According to the company, more than 8,800 warranty claims have been made in the United States because of the issue.
The camera will be replaced at no additional cost to the owners by the dealers. Beginning on September 12, Ford will contact owners through the mail.
