Event celebrating African cultures set to take place in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. – A celebration of African cultures will take place today at the Claude Moore Education Complex in Roanoke. Community Arts Reach and Local Colors of Western Virginia are both in charge of putting on this event.

This will be a fascinating cultural event for people of all ages, with performances, storytelling, fashion, cuisine, and tables set up by local artisans. Following the stage presentation that highlights the spirit of African cultures, there will be a community dinner that may be purchased by attendees.

There is no charge for entry. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
