Car wash damaged after mudslide in Roanoke

Roanoke, Virginia – Roanoke Fire-EMS were dispatched at 950 Orange Avenue NE after a mudslide was reported.

According to Roanoke Fire-EMS, the mudslide damaged two-thirds of the Southern Classic Auto Wash. The back wall and part of the roof collapsed due to this mudslide.
Southern Classic Auto Wash counts nearly 20 employees, but despite that no one was in the building when the incident happened and there are no injured people.

The mudslide it’s not affecting roadways but the embankment needs to be stabilized to prevent further incidents.
