Campbell County Sheriff’s Office searching for a man accused of evading capture

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who is wanted for several offenses after allegedly evading capture by law enforcement officers.

Mathew Patton, age 36 and a resident of Lynchburg, is wanted for felony assault and battery against law enforcement officers, felony disregarding law enforcement command, and five misdemeanor charges connected to fleeing law enforcement and traffic infractions. There has been no public disclosure of the specifics of the circumstances behind the accusations.

According to the sheriff’s office, Patton has brown hair and blue eyes, and his height is 6 feet and 1 inch, and his weight is 170 pounds.
