LYNCHBURG (Va.) — Lynchburg City Public Work crews had little work to do on Sunday as the area didn’t get as much snow as they anticipated.
The crews that were on standby were sent home. Crews were able to clear any road conditions that were impacted by snow this weekend.

The crews started clearing roads around midnight. At this time, all roads in the area should be passable while they are still a little wet.
Into Sunday night and Monday morning, crews will be on hand to lay down salt on roads as temperatures drop and freezing becomes a possibility.

“Anything that is wet remaining on the roads, once those temperatures plunge tonight, it is going to be frozen,” Clay Simmons, the public works deputy director, said.
