Roanoke County officials issue reminder to apply for Paycheck Protection Program as deadline moves closer

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. — As a reminder to businesses, Roanoke County Economic Development officials recommend businesses who have not yet applied for the Paycheck Protection Program to apply soon before the March 31 deadline approaches.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has reopened the federal Paycheck Protection Program, a forgivable loan to help businesses survive during COVID-19.
Businesses that have been affected by the pandemic could be eligible for assistance through the program.
Businesses that have already received a loan may be eligible for a second.
Funds will continue to be distributed to qualifying businesses until either the deadline passes or until funds have been depleted.
