Republican Griffith defeated Democrat DeVaughan to win Virginia’s 9th Congressional District

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Republican Representative Morgan Griffith beat his Democratic opponent Taysha DeVaughan on Tuesday and was re-elected to represent Virginia’s 9th Congressional District.

He informed his fans that he would return to Washington on November 10 to begin preparing for another two years of serving Virginia’s 9th District in the House of Representatives. The party was held to watch the election results.

He believes that inflation is a huge problem that is impacting households in Virginia and that this is the primary issue he wishes to solve.

Rep. Griffith acknowledges that it will be a challenging job, but asserts that he is up to the challenge.

“We’re going to continue to work on our conservative base and our conservative values, but we got to work on inflation. It is really damaging the American economy, and the American family is suffering, and we’ve got to stop some of the policies of the Biden administration that have encouraged inflation,” Griffith said.
