Lynchburg Police looking for armed gas station robber

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is searching for a robber with a firearm after a petrol station on Express Lane 76 was robbed Thursday morning.

Police said they rushed to the 3000 block of Memorial Avenue at 8:43 a.m. in response to a complaint of an armed robbery.

The individual who phoned the police said that a guy with a knife robbed the business. The thief fled the establishment on foot in the direction of Norma Street while carrying cash.

According to the CCTV video from the gas station, the robber was wearing tennis shoes, dark grey sweatpants, a light grey sweatshirt, a black ski mask, and was equipped with a knife.
