Public’s help needed in identifying a person of interest in fatal hit-and-run

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – The Virginia State Police are looking for any information about the person in the picture above.

The suspect is being sought for questioning by the police in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred at 12:30 a.m. on September 21, 2022, on Route 460 in Bedford County.

Aaron Collins, who is 26 years old and lives in Concord, was walking in the westbound traffic lanes of Route 460 when he was struck by a vehicle.

According to the authorities, the car is a BMW Series wagon manufactured between 2004 and 2007, and the front bumper on the driver’s side has been damaged. It is possible that a Black man with a lean frame and hair that is longer than shoulder length was the driver of the vehicle.
