BEDFORD Co., Va. – Andrew Karnes, 32, of Bedford, was brought into jail on Friday after a stabbing on Vistarama Lane that resulted in three linked victims.
In response to a complaint of a probable stabbing, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office discovered all three victims and Karnes were still on the scene. According to authorities, Karnes was quickly apprehended.
One victim with life-threatening injuries was airlifted from Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital to Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. The sheriff’s office thinks this is an isolated case that doesn’t pose a threat to the community.
Karnes is being jailed without bail at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on three counts of malicious wounding charges.
For additional aid, the Town of Bedford Police Department and Bedford County Fire and Rescue arrived.
