Lynchburg Water Resources is looking for volunteers to help them install art on storm drains

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Volunteers are being sought by Lynchburg Water Resources to assist with the installation of public art utilizing stencils on storm drains. The goal of this project is to raise awareness about the significance of stormwater drains and the need to maintain the James River clean.

On October 6, at 6 o’clock, volunteers will gather at the Miller Park Neighborhood, which is located at 301 Grove Street.

There is no need for prior experience in the art world.

The city adds that people of all ages are welcome, although children and teenagers who are less than 15 years old need to be accompanied by an adult. It is strongly recommended that you wear painting clothes and a pair of shoes that are comfortable for walking.
