Man arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department has arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that happened on Jefferson Street on Monday.

After reportedly stabbing his roommate, who was 22 years old, Nery Duban Escobar-Torres, who is 24 years old, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding. According to the police, the condition of the victim in the hospital has remained unchanged.

On Monday evening, law enforcement officers responded to a call of a stabbing and located the victim with what they described as “severe stab wounds” inside an apartment building at 1009 Jefferson Street. They had been dispatched to the scene after receiving the report of the incident.
