Danville Parks and Recreation will host the 5th annual Barktoberfest

DANVILLE, Va. – Tuesday evening will bring the fifth annual Barktoberfest to Coates Bark Park, and it will be hosted by Danville Parks & Recreation.

Attendees, together with their canine companions, will have the opportunity to learn about local canine-centric companies and services.

Along with local merchants selling home-cooked dog treats and supplies, there will also be a dog obedience trainer and a picture booth with a canine-centric theme.

Additionally, local animal hospitals and shelters will be there to provide the services they have available.

“You’ll be able to find out what vets are there if you don’t already have a veterinarian. It will be a great way for you to meet other pet owners and to check out the dog park if you have never been here,” said Charlene Presley, divisions director for special recreation.

Barktoberfest is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and admission is free.
