Apple said in its announcement that the big new update for the iPhone will come next week.
It was stated that iOS 16 would be available to customers on September 12, shortly after a launch event that featured the unveiling of a variety of new goods, one of which being the iPhone 14.
The most recent version was introduced to the public for the very first time in June, at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. A month later, it issued a public beta version of the program, making it available to anybody who wanted to use it despite the disclaimer that it may still have errors.
Every previous iOS upgrade has been made available to current iPhone users at no cost.
It adds a plethora of additional capabilities to the iPhone, with the primary emphasis being on customization options. A significant number of these updates are concentrated on the lock screen. This is a move that seems to have been made in anticipation of the always-on display that will be included in the iPhone 14 Pro.
It also lets you change or delete messages after you’ve received them, and it has extra alerts that let you keep track of things like when a package arrives or a game is going on.
iOS 16 will also have a new feature known as iCloud Shared Photo Library. This new feature is designed to make it simpler to share photos with the people you care about. Apple’s press materials, however, say that this feature will not be in the first version.
Already, the business has been forced to push out the debut of iPadOS 16 until October, which is also the month in which it is rumored that Apple will unveil new iPads. Usually, the two software updates would come out at the same time. However, the release of the tablet version has been delayed, ostensibly because of customer concerns and technical problems with the tablet’s new “Centre Stage” mode, which is its most important new feature.
