30-year-old man fatally shot in Suffolk

NORFOLK, Va. — According to reports from the Suffolk Police Department, a man was killed by a gunshot on Sunday afternoon in Suffolk.

A spokesperson for the department said that their emergency dispatchers got many calls at around 13:30 stating that shots had been fired in the neighborhood of South Saratoga Street. They immediately got other calls informing them that an adult man had been shot and was lying between multiple buildings located in the 300 block of South Saratoga Street.

According to the statement made by the spokesperson for the police department, when officers got to the scene, they discovered an adult male who had been shot many times.

They said the 30-year-old man was declared deceased on the scene.

They did not provide any kind of identification for him.

Anyone who may have information on this incident is urged to get in touch with the Suffolk Police Department or the Suffolk Crime Line as soon as possible.
