Child hospitalized after a crash in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Police Department was conducting an investigation on Saturday after a child was taken to the hospital after an “accident involving a pedestrian” in the 1100 Block of Pickett Road, the NPD said. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Pickett Road.

The department tweeted at about three o’clock in the afternoon that a child had been transported to the hospital and was listed as critical.

According to the tweet, the report was received at 1:30 p.m.

There was no more information provided about the crash. The child’s identity as well as their age was not disclosed.
