Two Virginia men found guilty in federal cocaine distribution trial

LYNCHBURG, Va. – In a federal trial that took place in Lynchburg on Friday, the last two defendants in a case involving the widespread distribution of cocaine were found guilty.

On Friday afternoon, the jury deliberated and reached a decision in the cases of Ricky Abner of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Charay Trent of Lynchburg. The judge will decide on the appropriate sentence at a later date.

In this particular instance, the defendants were accused of smuggling cocaine from Texas into Charlotte and Lynchburg.

Prior to this trial, 23 people had already been found guilty in connection with this case.
