Fairfax County police are searching for a male suspect who attempted to abduct a teenage girl in Reston on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Old Reston Avenue close to Temporary Road at 8 in the evening.
A man allegedly made an attempt to grab the teenage girl as she walked down the sidewalk, but fortunately she managed to escape. She remained unharmed.
Police provided a description of the man, saying he stands at 5’11’’ has an athletic build and was dressed in a dark hooded sweatshirt and black shorts when the incident occurred.
Anyone who has any information is urged to call 911 immediately.
