Authorities asking for help in over a decade-long murder case

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – It’s been thirteen years since a couple of students at Virginia Tech were killed in a shooting. To this day, no one has been arrested in connection with their deaths.

The bodies of Heidi Childs and David Metzler were found in the parking lot of Caldwell Fields, which is located inside the Jefferson National Forest in Montgomery County.

The investigation into the crime is continuing, and the police are once again appealing to the general public for assistance in putting the pieces together.

They are offering a reward of one hundred thousand dollars for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspect.
