4-year-old girl shot at Lynchburg gas station released from hospital; authorities ask help identifying a witness

LYNCHBURG, Va. – A little girl, aged four, who was shot on Tuesday evening at the Liberty gas station located at 3145 Campbell Avenue, has been discharged from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery from her injuries.

She had been shot while riding as a passenger in a van that was being fired at in the parking lot by four suspects who then ran away from the scene on foot.

The Lynchburg Police Department, which is continuing to look for additional witnesses, has reviewed the footage from the gas station’s surveillance cameras, which has shown that another customer was present in the shop at the time of the shooting. They are asking for assistance in identifying this individual as a possible witness in the case.
