Lynchburg Humane Society receives another group of beagles

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Another group of beagles rescued from the Envigo breeding facility in Cumberland County were brought to the Lynchburg Humane Society.

On Wednesday, twenty dogs came to the Hill City shelter, and the staff was ready to accept them with open arms.

All of the animals are male and less than a year old.

“These guys are coming in with [their] health history unknown. They come with papers from the facility, but they’re going to go through all of their first exams, and we’re going to make sure they all have a good bill of health before they’re available for adoption,” said Claire LeFew with the Lynchburg Humane Society.

This was the second group of beagles the Lynchburg Humane Society had received.

Last month, the shelter reported that all 21 rescued dogs were adopted within a week.
