Northwest Roanoke house fire left one person seriously injured

A home fire in Northwest Roanoke left one person seriously injured on Tuesday morning.

A post that was published on Facebook by the Roanoke Fire-EMS Department said that crews responded to reports of a structure fire at around 7:20 in the morning in the 1500 block of Andrews Road.

According to the Roanoke Fire-EMS Department, crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

One individual was rescued from the burning home and transported to a nearby hospital.

The Fire Marshal’s Office in the city is looking into what caused the fire as part of their investigation.
