Over 2,000 AEP customers without power after severe weather in Central and Southwest Virginia

As a result of the thunderstorms and rain that have been occurring across Central and Southwest Virginia, more than 2,000 AEP customers are now without power.

The majority of these power outages are located in Pulaski County, which now has a total of 1,253 residents without electricity.

There are 2,111 Appalachian Power customers in our region without power as of 10:29 a.m., with the worst affected areas shown below:

  • Pulaski County – 1,253
  • Franklin County-291
  • Carroll County – 114
  • Roanoke – 107
