Classes canceled at Nelson County schools on Monday due to weekend flooding

NELSON COUNTY, Va. – On Monday, August 22, no classes will be held at any of the public schools in Nelson County.

The school district announced on Facebook on Sunday that all schools in the county would be closed due to flooding in the area.

“Please be safe and alert if you must travel as some of the roads are in a dangerous condition due to the flooding,” the post read.
