Lifelong Learning Institute will open registration for fall courses on Sept. 7
The Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech is a group of volunteers that is run by its members. It uses the many academic and community resources in the New River Valley and beyond to give people over the age of 50 intellectual, cultural, and social experiences.
For the Fall 2022 semester, LLI will provide a total of 27 different courses, including six online courses, 20 traditional classroom courses, and one course that combines both types of learning. You can get information on the course names and formats on the website. There will be a small fee associated with each of the five planned trips within the NRV. One of the best benefits of becoming a member is having access to free special events. There will be three in-person programs in addition to the four Zoom webinars that are scheduled. You are welcome to register for as many of these events as you plan to attend in the future.
Registration for fall courses will begin on Wednesday, September 7 at 10 a.m. Classes start the week of September 19th. It is strongly recommended that you sign up as soon as possible since many of them fill up quickly.
On Thursday, September 1, from 10 to 11:30 in the morning, there will be a Fall Program Preview for anybody who is interested. On the LLI website, you will find a link to the Zoom webinar when it becomes available. For this particular session, registration is not necessary.
