Roanoke police investigating two separate shooting incident that left one dead, two injured
Roanoke, Virginia – According to the Roanoke Police Department, a man was killed and two people were injured in two different shootings that occurred only four hours apart.
The first incident occurred at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, according to authorities. Roanoke Police were notified that night by the City of Roanoke E-911 Dispatch Center of a person who had been shot in the 3400 block of Plantation Road NE.
Upon arrival, officers found a teenager suffering from a non-life threatening injury inside a nearby business. The shooting occurred outside of the business, but the teenager was brought inside immediately after he was wounded, according to investigators.
No suspects were located at the scene of this incident.
Four hours later, police were called to a home in the 1000 block of Hanover Avenue NW for a different shooting. Officers found two wounded individuals in the home upon arrival.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene by Roanoke Fire-EMS personnel, and the other was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The identities of the victims have not been revealed.
Both shootings are still under investigation and no arrests have been made in either of the shootings.
