Roanoke County Fire and Rescue shares safety tips for 4th of July fireworks events
Roanoke, Virginia – Fireworks shows for the Fourth of July are set to light up the sky over the weekend after more than a year dealing with the pandemic.
Cities and town will host multiple fireworks show and dozens of people are expected to attend. Residents who don’t want to attend the shows can set fireworks from their homes. However, Roanoke County Fire and Rescue are encouraging the public to attend fireworks shows in their communities because trained fireworks professionals will be in charge for the safety of the crowd.

Virginia resident should not use fireworks that travel along the ground, in the air or create sounds as they are illegal in the state. Also, residents are urged to keep a bucket of water handy while lighting the sparklers.
