The man who has been charged with sexual solicitation of a minor may have had more victims, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
The 34-year-old man, identified as Jose M. Jimenez, was arrested on August 11 after establishing communication via social media with a county detective posing as a 15-year-old girl.
According to a statement released by the police, Jimenez finally agreed to a meeting in person and kept exchanging explicit texts, despite the fact that the detective identified themself as a 15-year-old girl.
Officers say the 34-year-old rented a hotel room in Rockville, Maryland, before driving to the agreed-upon meeting place, where he was arrested.
Jimenez was granted bond and released from custody.
The department has said that they believe there may be other victims contacted by Jimenez and has asked anybody who believes they may be a victim to call either 240-773-5400 or 1-866-411-8477 to get in touch with Crime Solvers of Montgomery County.
