Woman arrested in connection with a stabbing in Lynchburg over the weekend

LYNCHBURG, Va. – An increased police presence was observed in the Wyndhurst neighborhood of Lynchburg on Sunday as police investigated an incident where a woman was stabbed.

The incident took place in the 700 block of Wyndhurst Drive. The victim was a 19-year-old female who was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Lynchburg Police Department reports that the victim is in stable condition.

A female suspect, identified as 20-year-old Jada Nycole Hobbs, was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing. She did not resist arrest and is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on a malicious wounding charge.
