Multi-vehicle crash in Bedford County, at least four people suffered serious injuries

Bedford County, Virginia – Multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Bedford County results with four people transferred to hospital for treatment.
According to Bedford Fire Department, the crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning to the 2300 block of Moneta Road.
Several people were trapped in the two cars when first responders arrived at the scene. The two vehicles were seriously damaged as a result of the crash.
At least four people suffered heavy injuries. Officials had to call for two more medic trucks and two helicopters.
Two people were transferred in hospital with helicopters, while at least two more were transported with the medic trucks.
The ongoing investigation should reveal the reason for the crash.
