Man accused of attacking realtor set for trial in late summer

The man accused of attacking a real estate agent at Smith Mountain Lake last summer will next appear in court later this year.
On Tuesday morning, Dustin Holdren’s hearing was continued by a defense motion with a waiver of speedy trial for July 27.
Bedford County Commonwealth Attorney Wes Nance says he anticipates going forward with a jury on that date.
Last June, realtor Lenora Farrington was showing a house when she says she was assaulted by Holdren. Farrington recounted her attack in a hearing back in October.
Holdren faces several charges, including aggravated malicious wounding and attempted rape.
